ENCOMPASS - Wiltshire Police

The school has been given the opportunity to take part in a project that will run jointly between schools and Wiltshire Police: ENCOMPASS is the reporting to schools, by the next school day, when a child or young person has been affected by a domestic incident.

ENCOMPASS will ensure that a member of the school staff, known as a Key Adult, will be shared the information in confidence, while ensuring that the school is able to make provision for possible difficulties experienced by children, or their families, who have been involved in, affected or exposed to a domestic abuse incident. .

Safeguarding statement from DBAT

The Diocese of Bristol and Diocese of Bristol Academies Trust is committed to safeguarding, safer recruiting practice and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff, visitors and volunteers to share this commitment.

All staff are expected to report any concerns relating to the safeguarding of children, young people or vulnerable adults in accordance with agreed procedures. If their own conduct in relation to the safeguarding of children, young people or vulnerable adults gives cause for concern, the DBAT Allegations Management procedure will be followed, alongside implementation of the Disciplinary Procedure as required.
